About me

Emilio Palomino (1997) is a Mexican writer with over thirty national and international publications, including the literary magazine Nagari Magazine in Miami. He has collaborated with organizations such as UNESCO Mexico, the San Luis Potosí State Human Rights Commission, and IberCultura Viva.

In 2022, he published "Amor, Locura y Pandemia" (Love, Madness, and Pandemic), his first book of short stories. In 2023, he received a grant from the Program for the Promotion of Artistic Creation and Development (PECDA) of the state of San Luis Potosí. In 2024, he won the 53rd Edmundo Valadés Latin American Short Story Contest for his story "La Colonia" (The Colony).

Since 2020, he has led Creative Writing workshops in collaboration with institutions such as the Potosino Institute of Fine Arts, the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí, Integrare A.C., and Expansiva Hábitat Cultural.

How does flattery work? Why do we consider it important to be individuals? Could our ignorance reveal more about us than our knowledge? On my Substack I explore what troubles me each week. I seek lucidity, no matter how momentary, in this chaotic symphony in which we live.

We detested the neighborhood because, apart from being cramped and old, opposite to the spaciousness and growth potential that new constructions boast, it kept in its houses and streets the memory of our families.
